I’m still kicking around the same idea but…

I think it will go the way of the others.

So…I think I’ll design a ‘smaller’ game and work on that so I can at least do something. Which, at a certain point, is important.

Just trying to come up with ideas gets frustrating after awhile.

I haven’t forgotten about the design thing…

I think that is what I’ll do next. It’ll give me a chance to focus on one side (server) of the client/server equation. And avoid things like ‘artists’ which I cannot afford or convince to work on stuff.

If that happens, I’ll probably start throwing together a design and such (and re-posting it here as well as elsewhere). However, I will under no circumstances, announce anything that hasn’t been already finished.

So you’ll see design stuff. Maybe some year(s) down the road an actual game and codebase. Unlikely tho, I tend to be quite unreliable even on my own projects.

I decided not to do the silverlight contest.

I’d have to buy art even for a simple game, unless I was willing to tolerate complete crap. And unlike a longer term project, there isn’t a chance of getting an artist later to ‘pretty it up’.

Erth obviously never happened (b/t a bug and hard drive failure and lack of backups). Hopefully I’ll be able to build something like it someday but I think I’m going to aim for small (unannounced) projects for the time being.

So, for now:

There will be stuff coming up ‘at random’ relating to my life and various projects. When exactly they will appear is…unclear. =)
